Father and daughter sheepskin slippers.

We've had a great day. Bulk date scones, bacon and egg pie and a small apple pie baked. Most are in the freezer and will travel home with Dad on Monday.

Dad bought some new sheepskin slippers and while he had a sleep this afternoon, I went for my 2 yearly mammogram check. Never fun but always good to tick the box and know it's done.

The weather isn't so bad in Christchurch tonight. There little wind and light rain/sleet. Another media beat up....

We went out for Tempan Yaki (Japanese BBQ) dinner to celebrate the end of one chapter in my life and the start of another. We've dined well, been entertained and both about ready for bed.

As I ran this afternoon I realised my 'annual leave' day was coming to an end. Thus officially ends my employment at the University of Canterbury.

6 more big sleeps until I'm gainfully employed again ;-)
