Lincoln Rooftops

Well - everyone else walking along the newly opened top of the wall of Lincoln Castle was looking the other way but all these angles caught my eye.  You can just see the scaffolding around one side of Lincoln Cathedral at the top-centre of my photo.

The new staircase up to the top of the castle wall is in "Extra photos".  It is a spiral staircase which winds around a central core in which they have installed a lift for those who have limited mobility - needless to say I used the lift.

All in all, the improvements they have made to the Castle have been very well done and it is certainly worth a visit to see Magna Carta in its new vault.l
