Proud to be a Brummie 3

What a busy week so far socialising and enjoying ourselves showing our home area to Sue from Sydney!  Today was the day to say farewell so we escorted Sue to New St Station for her trip back to London.  We needed to show her the Bullring and the wonderful architecture around there and while we were there we came across this.  We hadn't seen it before, indeed it is a work in progress.

This is a new part of New Street Station and the new John Lewis building, all of which seems to be going to be incredibly shiny and silver.  So much so that it has amazing reflections!  Can you see SHH and me?  I was wearing a green jumper.  The lower half of the picture shows part of the construction site and a walkway through to the current pedestrian entrance to the station, and the upper half is the cladding for the building.  I was totally totally absorbed by the whole panorama of reflections.

I'll be back!

My extra photo shows two other interestingly juxtaposed bits of Birmingham Architecture - St Martin's in the Bullring and Selfridges - on a lovely day.
