Salute Saltatorian Lover

My sisters and I went to the funeral of old family friend Zahra Freeth today. She was a wonderful woman who spent her early life in Kuwait and was an expert on that part of the world. She was very interested in the wildlife of the region and one day noticed a grasshopper that looked different to any she had seen before. It was new to science and was named after her, Utubius syriacus zahrae. I wish I had talked bugs with her and her son when they lived in our village. I have photographed the Order of Service on her book for children, Rashid Of Saudi Arabia.

I then shot across country to photograph the year eleven students from my granddaughter's school in all their finery at their celebration evening.
