An evening meeting about the Neighbourhood Plan

My day was spent in trying to sort out the strimmer, with a certain amount of success.  But the evening entailed another meeting concerning Neighbourhood Development Plan.  Jon H.'s company, a specialist sustainable transport and town planning consultancy, is being employed to provide us with their analysis of 'movement' issues in and around the town centre.  But they are keen to get us to provide some of the detailed local information they need, which entailed us being trained by him tonight.

It was very interesting and we have all taken on the task of reporting on different parts of the town, as well as involving some other people to help with the surveys.  I think the results will be really useful for our plan but also for the town council in knowing more precise answers to a range of common questions that it often asks.  We need to hand over the survey results within three weeks.

The meeting was held at the council offices and I shall be back there tomorrow with at least four of the people sitting round the table, who are also members of the steering group of the Plan.  We will be establishing the next stages of the work needed in preparing the draft Plan and the statutory processes that will then follow.  We've made a lot of progress but there is much more to do.

As much of the survey will be recorded with photos, I thought I'd start immediately and my colleagues have let me blip them.  I only had my 100mm macro prime lens with me so several colleagues are sadly out of the frame.
