Mr A has been busy this week transforming the garden.

He attempted a transformation last year, sowing wild flower seeds to turn the upper part of the garden into a meadow. That failed. Miserably.

The middle bit of the garden was a non entity too, with random tufts of grass and the odd plant here and there.

So he decided to add the log roll border to define the different levels and plant all the shrubs we had in pots into the middle section (plus a load more plants he bought).

As they grow, they should all blend in together, but for now we have chipped bark to cover the ground.

Our grassy areas are getting less each year, but on the plus side, so is the mowing!
