not heed

I don't really mind when a proposed walk to and from the shops turns into a carry to and from the shops (with a diversion to watch crane hoisting something labelled FLAME RETARDANT up a half-constructed building on the way and a pause on the way back to look at some terns and an heron) but I'll have to practise being firm to ensure that the boy doesn't start trying it on all the time. He turned out to be a bit off all day so can be excused his lack of effort in the morning except that he was happy to walk around when actually inside the shop, though pleasingly did not grab anything. I managed to complete some garden-chores in the afternoon when he was off swimming but didn't manage to get out for a step-boosting cycle as he returned just as I was preparing to leave.
