What struck my fancy

The Norwich Gates

are the official entry to Sandringham House (country retreat for the Queen and earlier monarchs). Her motorcade sweeps in and out of here. Other subsidiary entrances elsewhere are used by lesser mortals. These gates, made by Thomas Jekyll, were donated by the city of Norwich in 1863.

The shiny black seemed to contrast well with the flowering rhododendrons behind. The notice on the left simply says no unauthorised access - you could have guessed that!
