Funday

We've had a fun packed day today; I had to do a collage as I couldn't choose one photo alone!

The weather wasn't too bad, so we decided to have a ride out on the bike.
First stop was Accrington town centre to have look at the bike show (top left photo). I think we may have been a bit early as there were far fewer bikes there than when we visited last year.

From there, we rode to Glossop and onto Castleton in the Peak District. The middle left photo is the road into Castleton; it was an epic ride!
Lower left photo is of Peveril Castle in Castleton.

We stopped off for coffee and to decide what to do next. Our choices were either the caverns (Devils Arse & Speedwell) or the Chestnut wildlife centre.
I didn't fancy caverning in full bike gear so we went to the wildlife park instead.

It was a good decision; we really enjoyed it.
The place was much bigger than we expected and lots to see, including deer, various species of otters and owls and also foxes and wildcats.
Plus it was nice to be outside and get some fresh air.

We had another coffee and shared the most delicious piece of flapjack either of us has ever had (maybe because we've not had anything quite that sweet for a couple of months now), before setting off home.

The double viaduct was a lucky find, just driving through Chapel Milton; we had to stop and take a photo of that.

We've had such a good day and although I've still felt tired, it's kept me occupied (& awake). My lethargy is thanks to Aunt flo's unwelcome return; she's only been away a week

I'll upload everything else (plus the full sized of these; the viaduct is a panoramic) to Flickr later on :-)
