The Longest Day...

is how it felt for Ms H as she returned to base from her DofE Expedition. We've still to get debriefed of the full details, but knowing how heavy her pack was before they put the tents and cooking kit in was concerning enough.

I think they all found it very difficult, but we are hearing stories of fun and laughs which I believe, accordingly to a previous DofE participant KT, will come more to the fore in future years :-)

We were proud of her attitude before we sent her packing on Friday, knowing she had the qualities that would help her through it all, but it was great to see her home, tired and weary, but having passed this particular module... woohah! Now... the hard bit... volunteering...
