Poppies and Barley

Farmers often get a bad press with us photographers for being grumpy but I was talking to a local farmer at the festival when I had my 'official photographer' ticket in my hat. I told him I'd photographed most of his fields and said how much I liked this barley field. He told me that there were poppies in the corner of it and was quite happy for me to walk into the field a fair distance as the corner was not very near a gateway.

He's right of course, some lovely poppies here and after a rainy morning the sun came out too.
