Kilfinan and Otter Ferry

A later start today then a drive along the West side of the Cowal peninsula the short distance (it never feels that way on single track roads) to Kilfinan. The Parish church is worth a visit and we like to go and see the headstones of Apothecary7's ancestors in what is a very picturesque cemetary in lush woodland. The headstones lie close to the family vault of the Lamonts, the clan which owned much of the Cowal peninsula before the Campbells decided they would like to own it.

From Kilfinan we drove on to Otter Ferry on Loch Fyne. We took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk along the shore track through the Ballimore estate, then had a late lunch in the Oystercatcher pub.

Back over in Tighnabruaich in the afternoon we had a walk though the village.

Later Maeve had to stay in the car while we went for dinner in the Kames Hotel.
