Arrival

The journey from Fife to Melfort seemed longer today than on any of the previous occasions. Mostly caused by the traffic on the A85/82 from Lochearnhead to Tyndrum. It seems that everyone from Glasgow and the South is rushing away to the North for the weekend. The Real Food Cafe was exceptionally busy - it took over an hour to be served. But, as always, well worth it when the meal arrived.

Jess did not travel well. Almost the whole way, she was on her feet. She found it very hard to settle. This was despite being given some Valium by the vet in an attempt to make things easier for her!

There was no delay in getting into our cottage at Melfort Village. It is about half a mile away from the place we used to go to at Melfort Pier, but the dogs did not seem to mind. As soon as the door was opened, they rushed in and made themselves at home.

As you can see, Jess promptly claimed her spot on the living room floor!
