Season of Interest

Because our winter was so brutal, we were worried about these two Corus Kousa trees. Beginning in early summer, white bracts in sets of four (sometimes with pink tinges) surround tiny green flowers. These are followed by reddish fruit that resembles raspberries and attracts birds. They obviously have a good cold hardiness and they love the sandy Michigan soil.
