Friday mid-morning in a Berber village, Morocco

This colourful little village called El Borj - Arabic for tower or fort - is in the High Atlas mountains near Khenifra.  Perhaps its name derives from the ruined tower on the left of the photo, now occupied only by a family of storks.

Friday is the day of rest, and the few village inhabitants visible on the main street are sheltering from the sun.
