A Day Worth Recording

Leiston a la Malvern

Hosting our first 'full board' weekend for a group - a friendly group in all senses as they were from our former Quaker Meeting in Cambridge.  In some ways this made it harder work as we wanted to both 'host' and socialise.  However, it was a joy to see them again.

Most came up for a walk in the hills, using the gentle slopes from the Black Hill car park.  We were all impressed with Pat making it up high enough to get a decent view.

The 'Leiston' reference alludes to the yearly weekend escape to Leiston Abbey on the Suffolk Coast that the Meeting used to do before the Abbey got all commercially minded and made it too expensive.

In the evening, we reproduced the activity from then of sharing something with each other, be that a reading, music, poem, etc.  I introduced them to Blip and went through its coverage of our journey to the Dell House.
