A New York State of Mind?

2nd Day in New York City and I’ve fallen in love and out of love with this City a dozen times in the last 24hrs – and in NYC there are 24hours!
 
It’s hot, sultry, noisy, brash, loud, crowded, expensive, dirty, dirt poor to unfathomably wealthy – I’m puzzled as to what the New York State of Mind is.
 
   
A visit to Liberty Island and Ellis Island which was most of the above (though not expensive) was interesting, moving and not without beauty, a walk in the Met. Opera House Plaza (which will definitely get me back one day to see the opera in season) is such a gorgeous space and building and finally an impulsive trip to Dizzies for a bit of jazz and blues courtesy of Jamison Ross and dinner and the most fun and style I’ve had out for an evening for a long time. Walked back through Times Square which makes Vagas look like it has style.
