' Old Faithful '

Day 4
Today we drove through Grand Teton National Park and then up through into Yellowstone and to say that the scenery was amazing is an understatement . Yellowstone surpassed all expectations and the geysers, mud pots and hot springs were fantastic.
The most famous of the Geysers is Old Faithful so named because it erupts regularly every 70- 90 mins.
The plume of water rises to an average of 130ft and usually the eruption lasts for around 5 mins. We then went on to see the Mammoth Hot Springs - these are terraced pools of hot springs that are famous for their fancy shapes and colours ( will add as an extra when I get home ) .
Tomorrow we are off to Salt Lake City .......
