Salt Lake Temple

Day 5
We arrived in Salt Lake City today after driving through Idaho .
Our first stop after arrival was Temple Square  which is a 10-acre complex owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and located in the center of Salt Lake City
Contained within Temple Square are the Salt Lake Temple, Salt Lake Tabernacle, Salt Lake Assembly Hall, the Seagull Monument, two visitors' centres and a recent addition of a Conference Centre which was completed in 2000.
We took a tour of this newest building which has a capacity for over 21, 000 people with a magnificent 7500 pipe organ. It's believed to be the biggest auditorium in the world which also has a 4 acre roof garden ! The tour was fascinating and the building spectacular- will add as extra photos when I return home .
