The sun, slowly sinking behind the hills at Riwaka provided this lovely light on the farmland near the local estuary.


 
Bird’s Nest Fungi
To answer a question about the size of these fungi, I headed out to the garden this morning with my tape measure.
The three ‘nests’ across the front  just fit within 1cm and the individual ‘nest’ on the left measures almost 4mm.
They are fascinating fungi and I thank you all for the comments, stars and hearts.
