Victory at last

Sadly, not for me.

The kids realised that school was starting half an hour later than usual this morning, so the boy child and I decided to squeeze in a game of chess. It would be fair to say that I'm not the kind of parent to indulge a child by taking it easy and letting them win every now again. I'm more from the "Soon he'll be able to thrash me every time, so I'd better enjoy my victories while I can still get them" camp. 

But today, he beat me. Fair and square. And I was the one regretting the stupid move where I lost my queen. 

At least chess is a suitable subject for a mono pic. Doesn't get much more mono than black vs white, does it?
