But, then again . . . . .

Herding Cats.

Following the success of a local campaigner to have “Doggie Bins” installed at various points around the dog walking circuit, we were cordially invited to attend a photo shoot for the local rag.

Merlin took pride of place sitting on top of the  bin, I was unable to take a picture as I was busy trying to make him “watch the birdie” while what he wanted was to stick his nose in the pockets of those standing by him in case there were some stray biscuits inside. The official photographer had some difficulty persuading the ladies (and the lad looking after the main lady’s dug), not to mention the dugs, to pose in a co-ordinated and photogenic arrangement.

After about 50 shots of the bin, we all trouped down to the footpath for pictures of the dugs walking towards the camera. 50 pictures later, and the photographer realised it would be better from the opposite direction so he had to take another 50 after everybody had been re-arranged. So this is a blip, looking over the pressman’s shoulder, of the five ladies (and one lad) with their seven dugs walking towards the camera. Since I wasn’t trying to organise anybody, I was able to concentrate on the picture and probably had the best shot of the day.

When push comes to shove, if a picture is published, I’m sure that a corgi, perched precariously on the pooh bin with his nose in a lady’s pocket will win the day.
