Kodachrome State Park

Day 7
Today we travelled along Scenic Byway 12 which is reported to be one of the most scenic drives in the USA ......and our first stop was at Kodachrome Basin State Park so named by the National Geographic Society in 1949 ( with consent from Kodak) due to the rich colours.
We decided to do an early morning walk amongst the fantastic monolithic spires that range from 6ft to 170ft in height. These natural sandstone towers stand like sentries overlooking the park .
It was a real privilege to be so close to these amazing structures that are constantly changing.

" Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better ."
