Striding out at ninety!

Having stayed overnight at Dad's, we left at 8.15 am to drive over here. He was very amused by my circuitous route to avoid the (maybe fictional!) queues for Goodwood's "Festival of Speed". We wound through bumpy, windy lanes and I was quite proud that I managed to finally get to Bognor as I knew the route from there - but did managed to get slightly lost before we got out of the town! The journey took twice as long as usual, so maybe we didn't gain much! ;-))

We had a fish and chip lunch, then homemade trifle and cake for tea. We also managed a walk and you can see Dad striding across a local field in this photo. We also watched a concert that I'd saved on the Sky box for him and had a really good chat and laugh. He said he'd really enjoyed the day and Stuart is driving him home at the moment. It's so good to see him looking so much better after such a difficult time, and he's really got his confidence back.
