A day at the seaside

A slow and leisurely start to our day followed by a visit to the Danby bakery to buy a sandwich and cake for lunch.  We decided on a visit to Staithes and a walk along the cliff-top  - our energy levels took us as far as Port Mulgrave (where our favourite bench was available for lunch).  So after lunch we sat for a while watching the dinghy racing in Brunswick Bay and then made our way back for an ice-cream and cup of tea in Staithes.
There's a new art gallery opened in Staithes, and we thoroughly enjoyed looking at the prints and drawings - there were lots of things I'd love to hang on the wall at home - well worth a visit if you are in the area.

p.s. today's extra photos show more classic views of Staithes.
