RIP George

Took Miss L and a friend into EH, parked nearby and tried to ignore the rain whilst reading my book in the car. Then, suddenly, the rain stopped and the sky broke so I went for a walk in Craiglockhart. At the pond I read a note regretting the passing of George the swan on 17 June, killed defending his nest from, it was thought, a fox. Climbed the lower of the Craiglockhart summits (for the first time) and took this. Route back to the car took me through the abandoned Craighouse Campus which as a slightly post-apocalyptic feel.
