Today's the day ........................ to wash

The first thing you do when you get back from a week away is the washing.  Right?

Well that's what I did today, it being good drying weather out there.  I was on my second load out of the washing machine when something fell from the pocket of Will's newly washed trousers.  It was the paper wallet that held his remaining euro notes.

I'm hoping that they'll dry alright.  At least they're still in one piece and they seem to be made of quite strong paper.  I'm just wondering if this sort of thing gave rise to such sayings as - 'Ah well , it'll all come out in the wash' - and, of course, the expression - 'money  laundering' ....................... ?
