From the dark corner.....

By Rozwood1970

Dreary ends but a great middle!

Today my timing was perfect for a change. It was miserable and rainy first thing and I was all set to have a lazy day especially after my evening in the West Kirk with Abbot Ale.

However, it brightened up after lunch and mom and I set out for a bit of a walk. It was such a surprise! I took my leather jacket off after ten minutes it was so warm!

It was breezy as always but bright with the usual walkers, runners and dogs enjoying the sunshine.

The man sat at the next table to me last night in the West Kirk was at the end of the bridge with a gigantic dog. He said 'Hello' as we walked past. I returned the greeting and explained to mom as soon as we were out of earshot. I hadn't spoken to him last night. He had his headphones on the whole time and was watching a comedy film on his laptop as he drank his beer. I presume it was a comedy as he kept bursting out laughing every now and then.

Mom couldn't understand why someone would take a computer to the pub to watch a film when he could have stayed at home for that. No worse than me tweeting pint pictures or having text conversations on my phone I suppose! There is nothing quite like going to the pub to socialise, is there?!

Anyway, we walked the long way back to town after that and went to M&S where I nearly bought new jeans but mom wouldn't let me! She reckoned they looked old and tatty already. That was why I liked them! Maybe tomorrow.....

Back home after that for a steak and chips dinner with onions and peas. It's grey and dreary out there again now.
