Monument Valley

Day 9
We started the day with a walk to Lake Powell to see the famous Horseshoe bend - with the temperature at around 90 F at 9.00 in the morning we were glad we decided to start early.
We then drove through Monument Valley, this valley has been used in many films and television shows notably the 'Eiger Sanction ' (1975) and the Stanley Kubrick film '2001: A Space Odyssey ' (1968) and more recently the popular UK television show ' Doctor Who '  in the two episodes "The Impossible Astronaut" and "Day of the Moon". ( so we were told )
This is another fantastic place for scenery and photography - just not enough time to do it justice !
