Five Starlings

The continuing warm nor’wester has reduced the snow in my garden a lot more. I can now walk about without a stick, which is a great relief.

I started the big job of cleaning up, concentrating on trees and branches that were down over paths or blocking access to places I need to get to. The biggest job was moving the big branches that prevented me from getting to the woodshed. By tomorrow I’ll be able to get the wheelbarrow out and bring some wood in. The heap I amassed on the veranda before the snow fell has lasted well.

The peak on the right is the southern end of the Torlesse Range, with a glimpse of the Craigieburn Range beyond. I don’t know the name of the foothill in front.
