Horndon on the Hill

Having dropped off a pile of Have Your Say cards with Bishop John I popped into the church opposite as there seemed to be quite a bit of coming & going. The church of St Peter and St Paul, Horndon on the Hill dates from the 13th century, and, according to local historians, remains largely unchanged over the last 700 years. The floor of the nave has memorials with one showing a lady's age as 303! They live long and prosper in Horndon on the Hill. The comings and goings were part of the village fair, granted by royal charter, by King Edward I.
