Elgol Bay.

The day dawned fine and sunny! Yeh, finely Skye like the first time we visited it.
We picked up Doug, and then went to get some lunch to take with us. We had found that the co-operative had good lunch deals; sandwich, plus another thing (tiny pork pies or similiar – yummm) and a drink.
Drove out to Talisker Beach, bit disappointing as the book on walks that we had said that there was black sands on the beach. All we saw was round boulders on the beach. (I have since read that the sand is visable when the tide is out). Where we parked our cars there were Albino Peacooks or hens – maybe hens as they didn't have the big tails, which were quite different in colour from anything that I have ever seen.
I can't get used to the fact that you can walk through someones place as a right-of-way, it seems really strange to me.
Murray really wanted to go up to the old marble limestone quarries which are opposite Cill Chriosd http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/skye/cillchriosd/
Leanne & M urrayheaded for the quarry and Doug, Clare & myself had a longer look around Cill Chriosd, then headed off to Elgol Bay. Somehow I took the wrong road and ended up in a beautiful bay, not at Elgol! Eventually we did get to Elgol, and stopped there for a coffee, then headed back. We had taken two cars, as we knew we would be going off in different directions. Met up with Murray & Leanne, before dropping Doug back at his place.
After dinner, we headed out to the ancient burial ground of the Nicolson's.
