Breakfast!

This morning I made myself a healthy banana and strawberry smoothie for my breakfast - and very delicious it was too! Yes it is in a beer glass!

Jae tells me that today will be his last day at school! He has no clue what to do now! At all! I think he's been trying not to think about it to be honest, but he's going to have to now!

Poor Minstrel! Today was the day for his post - op check at the vet's. The last two times we took him, he was quite happy and relaxed about going. But with the full horror of what happened to him on his last visit still fresh in his little catty mind, he was less than enthralled this time. He made it there OK, despite his nerves, and though he was there only a few minutes and subjected to no further trauma by the same vet as he saw last time, the journey home was a different story. Despite the fact that he'd not eaten for 4 hours, he shat everywhere in his cat carrier. He likes to be clean, and being in the carrier with shit caused him to puke too! That last 5 minutes of the journey seemed very long for all of us!

I couldn't take him out of the carrier as it would not have been safe - for him or us.

I cleaned him up as soon as we got home, and washed out his carrier. He's fine now, has had a sleep, cuddles, food and water. He also has a new mouse toy and has been playing with it. 

The next Vet visit is a good way off I think - it's inoculation booster time next time!

Whilst there I did find something useful - things that can be fitted to the windows so they can be open without Minstrel going through them! It's a very warm day and it would be good to have a window open but OUT THERE is not a safe place to be a cat!
