GREEN.  You thought it was going to be 'grey', didn't you?  No, maybe the thumbnail gave it away.

Anyway, in case you're also wondering why the 'leaf' has such an odd look, I ought to tell you that s/he's actually sitting on some green plastic netting which is currently being used to surround a local ecological project in the water meadows.  You must admit, s/he does co-ordinate well with it!

They are strange little beings, though, aren't they, these damselflies?  I've noticed other blippers saying that the one they blipped was very unfazed by human presence.  This one was almost flirting with me.  That's how it felt.  Though perhaps more prosaically it was simply trying to stay out of the wind.  Does anyone know what kind of damselfly it is?

Terrifically hot today, though quite a lot of cloud around.  I wonder if we'll have a thunder storm tonight?  Now that would be worth getting the camera out for.
