Ticked Off!

Removed this little horror from a lovely labrador today.
Horrible little creatures, they rank somewhere beside wasps in my loathing of them!

Not only do they spread a host of unpleasant diseases they can cause irritation. This one had caused a nasty dermatitis around the area where it had decided to attach.

Please read this link for advice on how to SAFELY remove ticks - DO NOT use vaseline, cigarettes, nail polish or any other "miracle" method - unless you really want tick vomit with all the bugs it may have in its stomach from previous victims, injected right back into your pet or your blood stream!
