A Day Worth Recording

Lord of the Pointy Hat

Don't look now but there's a woad-coloured Viking behind you.

--
The occasion is Alison and Peter's wedding. The, um, persons of many colours are Gog Magog Molly including E.

Molly dancing is the local 'Morris' and applying colour as a disguise is part of the tradition, though a simple blacking up would be more conventional.

Alison & Peter are enthusiastic dancers and the wedding celebration included quite a lot of dance - ranging from Scottish to Molly, and even Lord of the Dance as a hymm.

This gathering in the corridor is the prelude to a 'surprise' display spot.

--
Unexpectedly found a past colleague amongst the guests; more unexpectedly found he was wearing a kilt.

--
Amused that two of the three service hymms were the same as ours; including Lord of the Dance - we too had met through folk dancing.
