A friend of mine from my student days is moving house.  

We are sitting in a bar in Birmingham bar on the hottest day of the year, he delves into his bag and pulls out some papers, some with my identifiably awful handwriting on and this... my first foray into Students Union life.  My first ever  plea to students to  vote for me

The newspaper I edited was a shocker... made worse by the fact that it rarely got published.  Embarrassing?  Yes of course!     ' Glad I did it and learnt from all of it's shortcomings??  Yes, of course!!!
