Chickadees

Two chickadees visiting this morning. ln Kansas we have a chickadee check-off whereby you can designate a small amount of money when you do your income tax returns that goes to fund wildlife protection in the state. I think a lot of people take advantage of this. A good idea!
Today has been very mixed weatherwise, rain overnight and quite cool (79 this afternoon) during the day. Hopefully the rain will stay away for tomorrow's 4th celebrations. It is illegal to let off fireworks within the city limits, but there will still be plenty about. If a person has friends in the county, then they can bring their fireworks out and fire them there on private property. There will be set displays in town and those are the best really. When our children were growing up, they could buy them and let them off in town and I used to be very glad when it was all over!
