Red, White and Awesome

Miles said his tooth was loose.

Last month he pulled one out at the grocery store. With blood dripping down his chin, he let out an "Awesome!" while proudly showing it to horrified shoppers. 

With false hope, I asked if he'd like to pull this one out. Not a chance. Setting aside my queasiness, I plopped him on my lap and set about gathering up courage.  

Unexpectedly, I felt a rush of bad assness afterward and suspected this was how Miles felt when he pulled it himself.  

Cue Steppenwolf.
