Festival for Reborn Police Boxes 2

Scones may be verboten at the moment but the Sunday toast and marmalade at our café near the canal is sacrosanct.

Sometimes it can be less enjoyable than usual when we sit beside a hard to please customer. A customer who sends back the mug of coffee to be exchanged for a cup, who sends back the roll and bacon because she 'can't get her teeth through the roll' (sic) and after getting toast and marmalade enquires if this will be cheaper, and who finally sends back the second mug of coffee for a cup.
The staff were incredibly patient and pleasant, a testament to their professionalism. I'm glad I didn't become a waitress.

On the way home, we walked past this revamped police box at Tollcross, which was being readied for it's participation in the festival of Edinburgh police boxes.
This is not my bicycle in the frame, mine is so much more sporty. Just a pity I wasn't on it !

My second image is of two adjoining doorways in Lauriston Place which caught my eye in the sunshine
