Back in time

When I worked in Fleet St quite along time ago news papers ruled the world   and the clock decorating the Daily Telegraph building was one of my favourite bits of the Street.  I am always happy to see it when visiting London. It brings back lots of happy memories plus some sad ones at the demise of of this wonderful St. It seems to have had a bit of a clean as well as I don't remember the colours being so vibrant. Mind you everything was beige in the 70's

The Building was designed by
Thomas Smith Tait (1882–1954) was a prominent Scottish Modernist architect. He designed a number of buildings around the world in Art Deco and Streamline Moderne styles, notably St. Andrew's House (the headquarters of the Scottish Government) on Calton Hill, Edinburgh, and the pylons for Sydney Harbour Bridge.
