The compost heap has been turned over.  This means emptying it and put it back in the reverse order.

I felt a bit like an archaeologist looking back at the last few months of garden debris.  I found some tulip bulbs who still have hope of a future life and I'm happy to help.  

Also found a lot of the moss that came from the grass in April.  It didn't look affected by its couple of months in the heap.  So I googled and found there is some debate about adding moss to the compost heap.  Daily Telegraph says no, RHS says yes.  So I went with RHS.
