Going Dutch

Today we rode from Rotterdam to Utrecht. Beautiful, but we hadn't factored in 2 things. Firstly, it was a very long way from the ferry terminal to Rotterdam, and secondly, that it was very hot.

There was water everywhere. Most houses seemed to be built on islands. These allotments had ready irrigation channels, but had to be prepared to share the fish.
