Still Life After DIY

My new desk arrived and we decided to have a go at putting it together.

This was more a decision born of hope rather than experience.

And so it proved when the first drawer broke as we were trying to put the first screw in.  But we soldiered on and were very ably helped by our helping cats (their motto " We schnupper everything.  Twice.")

We stopped building after the "Now hammer in the 50 pins" bit.

It will be mostly finished tomorrow and properly finished when they send us the replacement drawer.

And now I've said that, I fully expect it to turn into a hugely over-complicated "You have to send us the whole desk back" correspondence.

If it does I shall be practising my very best "sarkastisches Deutsch".
