Not So Hot, Hot, Hot

Bit of a wild day here.

Should have realised that when I was on the bus this morning.

When you travel by bus in Germany, you either have a ticket or you buy one from the driver.  And it's your fault if inspectors get on and you don't have one.  That'll cost you 40 Euro.

However, they seem to have "other rules" for known trouble makers (just ignore them). And obviously they have a bit of discretion when it comes to dealing with the out and out weird.

Like the woman on the bus this morning. Her cackling away to herself made sure he had a seat to herself, but the gesturing with the fly-swat elevated her to front-of-the-bus-to-herself.

The three inspectors got on (they never travel alone and in the evenings, I've seen them with police escorts) and they did a bit of a double take and the empty front of bus and full back of bus.

And then Our Lady Of the Dead Flies started.  I couldn't hear the whole story but it involved at least 3 men and stolen bus tickets.  She was given a very polite smile-and-nod and then the inspectors almost raced to get to the back of the bus.

I think we'll put that down to the wild weather.  Must have something to do with it.

My day?  Way too long.  I'm looking forward to my bed.
