Approaching Roseberry Topping

A five mile walk from Great Ayton Station, up to the Captain Cook Monument, then along the ridge to Roseberry Topping. It is officially a mountain at 1,049 feet. Great views across North Yorkshire, and out to sea. The winding path up made me think of Lord of the Rings.

Really good weather, 22C with a welcome breeze.

Great to share in my sister's birthday celebration. Started the day with French Toast and Bacon. Currently sipping Pimm's and G&T's, chatting to wee bro on the phone, whilst awaiting delicious dinner. Might checkout the new firepit, with After Dinner drinks in the garden.
