Yes, we saw blue skies

We had a brief glimpse of blue skies today as you can see. We went down to Chanonry Point to see if we could catch a glimpse of the tall ship, James Cook, a 70ft steel Ocean going Ketch that I had seen on Marine traffic. We got there just in time to see it sail down the Firth and it is now moored in the canal. The heavens opened again and the skies darkened so we stayed in the car until it past. The ship disappeared in the murk. as did the Kessock bridge and all the surrounding scenery.
We walked round to the point to see if the swallows were in their usual place but they were out on the wing. I waited for a few yachts to go past while talking to a couple who were up from Weymouth who were hoping to see the dolphins. The tide was going out and although there was a slim chance of a sighting the best time to see them is a couple of hours after low tide and right on queue I saw the dolphins through the telescope at just gone 5pm so hope the couple had returned and got to see them.
The photo shows a view down the beach to Rosemarkie and the hills behind , our house is to the left on the hill, do nt think you can see it though as it's hidden among trees.
Managed to clear the gaps in the patio of weeds and moss and swept the decking.
