Rain, glorious rain!

We have just had our first heavy downpour for the winter. It's magic. Took a few photos of the still "unreleased" Kootamundra Wattle flowers, but love the way the raindrops are clinging to the stems and buds. Everything looks lush again. The extra is the photo I took yesterday, but couldn't upload because of Blip going down.  Our irrigation channels are virtually empty in winter giving the pelicans a great place to forage in the mud and reeds. There were three, but being so far along the channel it was hard for me to capture them. Did you know, the Australian pelican has the longest beak of any bird in the world?
