Fifty shades of green

Much of eastern England is gradually turning to shades of gold and brown - ripening crops and faded bone-coloured grass heads are in the ascendent. But down by the river there are still oases of green, perfumed by the heady scent of meadowsweet and brought to life by the glittering splendour of fluttering Banded Demoiselles.
