Convolvulus

Today was the second day of the Race for Life event in Mote Park and I was going to post a shot of hordes of pink streaming along the park's paths. On and on they came, like a trail of pink ants, the earlier ones running hard but the great mass of people walking, talking and laughing, dressed in all manner of pink attire. There were dogs too, some in pink tee shirts, many with ribbons, pushchairs, babies in slings, ladies with handbags and on and on they came.

Unfortunately, the shots I took with the iPhone camera came out very pixelated so we're having to make do with this shot of a bindweed flower taken on our walk to Mote Park. For such a pernicious plant it's a beautiful flower.

A quiet day after the walk, arranged some accommodation in Scotland for when we travel up there at the end of the month to celebrate Doreen's 90th birthday, did the shopping on line and tried to make some gooseberry jelly using very out of date gelatin.
